Wrinkle Relaxers (tox) Tox (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, Jeuveau) is used to soften fine lines and wrinkles. Results are visible within one week and full effect is achieved within 2 weeks. Results can last up to six months, with an average of 3 months. Tox injections are a medical procedure involving injections with a very small needle to deposit the tox in or near a targeted muscle. The active ingredient in tox, botulinum toxin type A, temporarily paralyzes the muscles that cause wrinkles by blocking the nerve signals to the targeted muscles. With routine injections, the targeted muscles will relax, preventing your skin from stretching and wrinkling. Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA), is a favorite at The BeautiSpot, and is called the ‘naked’ neurotoxin which means it is made without the accessory proteins that other toxins have. The proteins in the other toxins are more likely to cause “tox resistance” which would mean your body doesn’t respond as well to the injections and the desired effect is not achieved. Each treatment targets the muscles that repeatedly contract every time you squint, smile or frown, by relaxing the muscle & allowing the wrinkles to soften. A client's medical history will be reviewed and signing of consents will occur before your tox can be injected.
Fillers Injectable filler is a soft tissue filler injected into the skin at varying depths to help fill in facial wrinkles, provide facial volume, and augment facial features: restoring a smoother appearance. Most fillers used at The BeautiSpot contain hyaluronic acid. What makes hyaluronic acid so effective is that it binds with water molecules in your skin, thereby providing a hydrated, plump, natural look. In addition, HA fillers are able to be reversed (if there was a rare complication of vascular occlusion) with a product called Hylenex (containing hyaluronidase) which adds an extra layer of safety when using fillers. Another filler option is Radiesse which is a filler comprised of Calcium Hydroxyapatite. The calcium is suspended in a water-based, gel-like solution which not only fills desired areas but stimulates collagen growth. The calcium and the gel are absorbed by the body over time. A client's medical history will be reviewed and signing of consents will occur before your filler can be injected.
